Current Logistic Issue in Australia Mechanical Issue Existing in Australia Regarding Logistics Australia is a created economy with a decent condition of innovation accessible in the nation. Be that as it may, it very well may be seen calculated practices are developing on a high scale, which has prompted a more prominent mechanical necessity in the nation. The coordinations the board in the nation requests an elevated level of innovation and the nation is endeavoring to accomplish it. Nonetheless, it is seen that the current innovative state leaves the nation in the hold of mechanical test according to coordinations the executives (Prajogo and Olhager 2012). The selection of cutting edge innovation regularly prompts improvement of new coordinated frameworks. The high scale providers and clients could change to the changing degree of coordinated framework however little scope providers frequently probably won't approach the changed incorporated framework. Subsequently, it prompts a conflict between incorporated frameworks engaged with coordinations. This disturbs the productivity in coordinations. This would prompt disturbance and prevention in the data framework and the gleam of data. This would likewise prompt deferral in activities and furthermore prompts time catch (Bhakoo et al. 2012). The mechanical state isn't similarly conveyed among different states and areas in Australia. It tends to be seen that the significant urban areas and states in Australia have an exclusive expectation of innovation and the condition of innovation introduced in solid. Be that as it may, it isn't valid for each other city and state in Australia. A few locales in Australia don't have an exceptionally high condition of innovation. Slow web speed and absence of imperative incorporated data framework is absent a few districts of Australia. Thus, there is low degree of innovation present in certain locales of Australia. It surfaces as a test to the calculated administrators in embracing new innovation to refresh to the expanding level of strategic tasks existing in the nation (Jim Wu et al. 2013). Innovative change in coordinations gives numerous territories of concerns. Protection from change is a well established term, which is recognizable to all. Change in innovation in coordinations usually alludes to the change in ERP framework and such changes frequently lead to changes in the administration of an association. Any new change in innovation regularly requires preparing and advancement procedure to be attempted by the workers. The workers do regularly not welcome this in the hottest soul and it prompts complaints from the representatives. Notwithstanding it, inordinate preparing and improvement procedure can prompt increment in the expense of the organization. Along these lines, changing mechanical level causes interruption and opposition from the workers (Cabalag et al. 2013). Change in innovative level and selection of new innovation causes alteration issues among individuals (Chhetri, Butcher and Corbitt 2014). Acclimating to new and cutting edge innovation regularly prompts changing in accordance with new frameworks. This builds the danger of representatives of neglecting to conform to new innovation and furthermore leaves the organizations and its activities at the hazards of such disappointment. There could be specialized and expanded languages engaged with the difference in frameworks and innovation. There is developing need of outer help from past the topographical areas of Australia in such issues. Accordingly, there is an acceleration in the cost structure and causes delay underway and circulation forms (McKinnon 2013). Examination of QUBEs Logistic Management Related to Issue The above conversation reveals the principle issue of calculated administration in Australia. In spite of the fact that Qube Logistic utilizations GPS empowered innovation however it has been discovered that the innovation isn't up to the level and doesn't give opportune data to the clients (Storer et al. 2014). The Interesting Narrative And Other Writings By Olaudah...

In The Interesting Narrative and Other Writings by Olaudah Equiano, Equiano gave interesting descriptions of his and others experience as a slave. He begins his novel by first explaining the place where he grew up, Nigeria, Africa. This part of Africa during that time was very fruitful and rich. Given this location, it can be understood that Equiano came from a family of wealth and power. He was the youngest and most favored of his siblings. Equiano explained the different African traditions and practices, i.e. honoring the dead, arranged marriages, dance ceremonies. Equiano loved Africa and his family but sadly one horrific day, he and his older sister were stolen from their home and later separated from each other. Not only was he†¦show more content†¦Equiano described the cruelty of the crew who kept watch of the Africans. If an African refused to eat, they received an hour of whipping or, even if one preferred death to being a slave, they were brutally punished. Equiano even witnessed the crew hurting one another, to the point where some died and had to be thrown overboard into the sea. A few of the Africans could no longer handle the mistreatment of being a slave and jumped overboard in attempt of suicide. Some succeeded, but those who did not succeed were lifted back on board and beaten unmercifully. At some point, most of the Africans were placed in the basement of the ship and had to endure one another’s stench. There was lack of health assistance and they were not allowed to properly excuse themselves to use the restroom. Because there was lack of fresh air and they had to stay in the basement for days at a time, many of the Africans got sick (Equiano 58). Equiano pondered why the white men treated their slaves so poorly, because slaves in Africa were never treated so inhumane. While living with his master, working on slave ships, and working on a plantation, Equiano had seen many practices of slavery in America. The way Americans treated their slaves was very different than the way Africans treated their slaves. For those who survived the slave ship, they were separated and

The content of the abstract is a very good overview of the content and it is consistent with the content. The abstract summarizes the objective, design, setting, participants, measurements, and results. Problem/Purpose The problem being investigated is the risk of falls in the elderly population related to the effects of controlled and uncontrolled hypertension and orthostatic hypotension. The authors do identify the significance of the problem as falls for being the leading cause of disability for the elder generations. Adequate background information is not provided to support the problem because the subject at hand â€Å"has not been investigated previously† (Gangavati, et al. , 2011, p. 383). Explanation of the purpose of this study being conducted is provided by the authors. Literature Review The previous research articles and their outcomes are briefly described with different amounts of time from 1-3 minutes after individual is standing before a decrease in blood pressure of 10-20mmHg would occur and be related to a fall. The purpose â€Å"was to assess the association between hypertension, OH using multiple definitions, and their combination and the risk of recurrent falls in a community-dwelling elderly population† (Gangavati, et al. , 2011, p. 384). The list of twenty eight references is used is this article. There are eight references dated up to ten years old, four references dated five years old or less, and sixteen references that are more than ten years old with one of them being twenty-three years old. The authors do very briefly summarize their review of the literature as to what is known and not known to the study. They do explain a need for further study from previous research with a lack of knowledge in definitions of orthostatic hypertension presented. Framework/Theoretical Perspective The study is based upon a specific situation theory regarding the relationship between falls and changes in blood pressure of the elderly population older than seventy. The authors connect their theory to the study by demonstrating a connection between a change in systolic orthostatic hypotension and standing for one minute. This change in systolic orthostatic hypotension would prove to be increasing falls for the elder population with uncontrolled hypertension. Research Question(s) OR Hypotheses The hypothesis was that the risk of falls would be highest in people with uncontrolled hypertension and in those with orthostatic hypotension. The questions at hand of the research were to assess the association between hypertension, orthostatic hypotension using different definitions, and to assess their combination and the risk of falls in a community-dwelling elderly population. Variables The independent variables were the total number of individuals that were seventy years old or older living within a 5-mile radius of the study. These individuals would present with no hypertension, controlled hypertension, uncontrolled hypertension, and systolic orthostatic hypotension. The dependent variables are the blood pressure measurements, number of falls reported, and the amount of time standing from one to three minutes. The blood pressure measurements were taken at two different times at two minutes apart after five minutes of rest and an average of the two would be used in the analysis. The measurements of blood pressure were obtained using a manual blood pressure cuff that was accurate for size. The number of falls was reported over a year of time and at the end of each month on a monthly falls calendar and only counted if they had experienced two falls. Demographics of Sample A few examples of the demographics used in the sample was 22% non-white, 64% female,70% receiving antihypertensive medications, 38% history of falls and 25% with a history of stroke. Research Design The research design used was prospective population-based study. Prospective designs are a type of longitudinal design that can be experimental or non-experimental and they are â€Å"studies that begin in the present and end in the future† (Schmidt amp; Brown, 2012, p. 158). This study was a non-experimental prospective study completed on a population of the elderly followed over a course of a year. This design was appropriate to obtain the necessary data. Subjects were not necessarily assigned to the group but they were chosen depending on if they lived within five miles of the study, seventy years old or older, and the ability to meet certain criteria. There was no indication of a pilot study having been conducted. Sample/Setting The sampling criteria that had to be met were the individual had to be living in the five mile radius of the study and they had to remain in the area for three years. This research study used simple random sampling for the sampling method; with equal chances of being selected, less risk of bias, and ample representation of the population. People were chosen based on â€Å"ability to understand and communicate in English, ability to walk 20 feet without personal assistance, sufficient vision, and able to live in the area for at least 3 years† (Gangavati, et al. 2011, p. 384). Individuals were assessed with a baseline assessment that included medical history, fall history, cognition, medication, and in-clinic evaluations of balance, and muscle strength. Informed consent was obtained from all participants by written informed consent. The setting of the study was the community; this setting fit well wit h the study’s objectives. Measurement, Methods amp; Instruments Kaplan-Meier curves and Multivariate Cox proportional hazard modeling were used to assess the risk of falls in participants with orthostatic ypotension. Fisher exact test was used for categorical variables. Wilcoxon rank sum was used for continuous variables. A manual sphygmomanometer was used to obtain blood pressure readings. The type of measurement used was physiological measure at the ordinal level of measurement. The authors did discuss the reliability of measurements being obtained with individuals who had been trained in appropriate blood pressure techniques and for potential sources of error. Data Collection The data was collected for the number of falls by mail. The one month calendar was mailed back at the end of each month charting number of falls. Measurements for blood pressure were taken at 1 minute after standing and 3 minutes after standing, 2 blood pressures were taken while laying supine, and then again after resting 5 minutes. Data was collected by longitudinal design. The data was collected at home by the participant or the caregiver. Data Analysis The data analysis procedures were clearly described using description of follow-up time of truncation. The analysis listed characteristics of the groups and how they were compared. The data analysis procedures were appropriate for the type of data being collected because it was a systematic review of the data that was collected for the research study. Statistical Analyses The analysis included an alpha level of 0. 05 to determine statistical importance. This alpha level indicated that the researchers felt 95% confident in that the risk of falls in the population being tested would be related to uncontrolled hypertension and orthostatic hypotension. Limitations The limitations that were identified by this research study was a bias for number of falls through the use of a falls calendar and standing blood pressure was not measured beyond 3 minutes. The findings were also limited because of the population was a majority of Caucasians, and limited to community-dwelling adults. There was also limitation on knowledge of any medication changes during this time. Other limitations I can think of is we do not know if individuals were accurately checking the blood pressure each day or was it just in the preset of the study. The Ending Of Anna Karenina Essay Example For Students

The Ending Of Anna Karenina Essay The ending of Anna KareninaAs we saw at the end of the novel Anna Karenina, Anna ends her tragic life by throwing herself onto the tracks underneath an oncoming train, while begging God for forgiveness during that time. The way Anna’s life ended symbolized the rise and fall of her life put together into one incident that took place on the subway. Anna, who at one point was a very prominent woman in the Russian Society, now lived a sad and dreadful life of misery. By reading at the end, it became very obvious that Anna had by far reached her lowest point in life. Her social problems with Vronsky, Karenin, as well as her other surroundings leave her old and alone. Could the Russian Society not have the fall that they had? Sure. However, each situation, whether it was Anna, or the Russian Society, each made choices that decided their eventual fate. In the end, the scripture â€Å"Vengeance is mine, I will repay,† showed itself to be the most important quote in the novel. Anna, just like Russia, were both equally successful. Anna was a popular woman in Society, Russia’s upper class were very wealthy and prosperous. Overtime, each made costly decisions that sent themselves into trouble. Anna had her problems with her infidelities, while the Russian Society had problems controlling how much money they spent. Eventually, Anna personality changes completely due to her looking at society in a different light and vice versa. Some members of the Russian Society, had to give up the â€Å"good† life, in exchange for a paying job to help payoff debts accumulated by sheer ignorance and a willingness to spend but not pay. The theme of the novel was based solely on choice. The theme of choice was the starting point of the novel that built into other facets of the story. From the first few pages of the novel where Oblonsky has an infidelity with Dolly, but shows no remorse for his actions. That situation was circled around the two main marriages in the novel between Levin and Kitty, as well as Anna and Karenin. As the novel continued, we saw the Russian aristocracy throw their money completely away to the point of bankruptcy and debt. The aristocracy made their decision to continue to live the wealthy life, only worrying about â€Å"eternal presentation.† The Russian aristocracy lived a â€Å"dual† life. On one hand, parts of the aristocracy tried to present themselves as people who did not have a worry in the world and just lived life easy, where in reality, they were suffering inside with the same problems as most of the common people that lived there during that time. Anna was the centr al figure in the novel, hence the title Anna Karenina. Anna’s up’s and downs were magnified due to her being that central figure that the novel focused on. From her marrige to Karenin, to infidelities with Vronsky, to the end where she throws herself onto the train, the entire focus of the novel centered around her and her life. The importance of her fall signified the fall of Anna, as well as Russia. Russia, for the most part, took that exact same fall. It was a fitting conclusion to a novel which showed the up’s and downs of most, if not all the characters in the novel. I agree with Tolstoy, the way the story ended was a fitting conclusion. Why change it if it were true. English Essays
